I crocheted this bow for my 5 years old little niece.

I added some beads to make it more cute.


Materials:

  • 3 mm hook
  • Medium weight 4 or worsted weight yarn
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors
  • Some small size beads

Terms used:


Ch - chain
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
sl st - slip stitch
× - Repeat as many times as indicated
rnds - rounds

Medium Size Bow

Bow Part

Start with a slip knot and ch 41

Starts from second chain,

R1: 3 sl st, 15 hdc, 5 sl st, 15 hdc, 2 sl st, ch 1 (as a turning chain) turn your work.

R2: 2 sl st, 15 hdc, 5 sl st, 15 hdc, 3 sl st, ch 1 

R3: 3 sl st, 15 hdc, 5 sl st, 15 hdc, 2 sl st, ch 1


Leave a long tail and cut. sew two ends together with tapestry needle.


Tail Part

Start with 26 chains

R1: 10 hdc, 5 sl st, 10 hdc, ch 1, turn 

R2: 1 dec (invisible decrease), 8 hdc, 5 sl st, 8 hdc, 1 dec, ch 1 

R3: 1 dec, 7 hdc, 5 sl st, 7 hdc, 1 dec, ch 1

R4: 1 dec, 6 hdc, 5 sl st, 6 hdc, 1 dec, ch 1


Center Tie

Ch 12
Sc in each stitch across, ch 1
wrap and Sew it 

Fasten off  •┈┈┈•┈┈┈•┈┈┈

Small Size Bow


Bow 

Chain 35

R1:  2 sl st, 13 hdc, 4 sl st, 13 hdc, 2 sl st, ch 1

R2: 2 sl st, 13 hdc, 4 sl st, 13 hdc, 2 sl st, ch 1

R3: 2 sl st, 13 hdc, 4 sl st, 13 hdc, 2 sl st, ch 1

Leave a long tail and sew two sides together!


Tail 

Ch 21

R1: 8 hdc, 4 sl st, 8 hdc, ch 1

R2: 1 dec, 7 hdc, 4 sl st, 7 hdc, 1 dec, ch 1

R3: 1 dec , 6 hdc, 4 sl st, 6 hdc, 1 dec, ch 1

Fasten off  •┈┈┈•┈┈┈•┈┈┈

(Or)

If you want a straight tail then follow this pattern,

Ch 17

R1: 6 hdc, 4 sl st, 6 hdc, ch 1 - Rep × 2 rnds

(no decreases)


Center Tie

12 ch

Sl st through back of the chains (11)

ch 1,

wrap and sew it
