Abbreviation (US Terms)

ch - chain

Mr- magic ring 

sc - single crochet

dc - double crochet

hdc- half double crochet

tr - treble crochet 

inc - increase

BLO - back loop only

sl st - slip stitch

sk - skip

rep - repeat



Materials:

  • 3 ply cotton yarn
  • 3.00 mm hook
  • yarn needle
  • Scissors

Crochet Blooming Heart Coaster


R1: Mr, ch 3, 3 tr, 3 dc, ch 1, 1 tr, ch 1, 3 dc, 3 tr, ch 3, sl st into magic ring.

R2: For this round Work all the stitches in back loop only!

Start from center of the magic ring (white)

ch 4, 1 tr, (tr, dc, hdc) on the top of all ch 3 stitches, 3 sc (into BLO of nxt 3 stitches), 2 hdc, 2 dc, (2 sc into same stitch), 2 dc, 2 hdc, 3 sc (nxt 3 sts), (tr, dc, hdc) on all ch 3 stitches, sl st into the 4 chain. (24)

R3: ch 2 (count as a dc), 1 dc into the same stitch, 1 dc, inc, 1 dc, inc.. Repeat (36)

R4: Ch 2 (count as a dc), 1 dc into the same stitch, 2 dc, inc, 2 dc, inc.. Repeat (48)

R5: Join the pink colored yarn. Ch 1, 3 hdc, inc, 3 hdc, inc.. Rep (60)

R6: Join the white yarn. Ch 1, 5 hdc, inc, 5 hdc, inc..Rep, in the last 5 stitches make 5 hdc (68)

R7: And again join the pink yarn.

Sc  into the same stitch where we made sl st, sk 1, (5 hdc) into the same stitch, sk 1, sc next, sk 1, (5 hdc), sk 1, sc... Rep.

sl st into the first stitch.

Fasten off.
