(hdc, dc, hdc, sc), then 3 sl st.
Next, * (sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc), 3 sl st *
Repeat from * to * until you have 5 star points.
Stop before the last slip stitch and fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Assembly
Make 2 identical star pieces.
Place the stars with the wrong sides facing each other.
Using the yarn tail and a tapestry needle, sew through the outer loops of each stitch around the star.
Attach the keychain ring (if using) at the top of the third point.
Before closing the last point, lightly stuff the star with fiber fill for a neat shape.
Continue sewing to close completely.
Weave in all loose ends securely.
Face
- Place a ball head pin to mark the correct position for the eyes.
- Using a yarn needle, sew the eyes vertically with black yarn.
- Next, stitch small blush under the eyes with pink yarn (in the picture).
Finishing Tip
Add a keychain ring, ribbon, or small tag to turn your crochet star into a cute handmade gift or accessory!
