Materials
- 3.5 mm hook (for cat head)
- 2.5 mm hook (ears & hat)
- 2 mm hook (pom pom)
- Medium weight yarn (4 ply / aran) – body color
- Red yarn (3 ply) – hat
- White yarn (3 ply) – hat brim & pom pom
- Black yarn or thread – eyes & whiskers
- Pink yarn – nose (optional)
- Fiber fill
- Yarn needle
- Scissors

Note: Use yarn under for all single crochet stitches for a neater amigurumi finish.

Cat Head (Body)
Using 3.5 mm hook and main color yarn
Round 1:
MR, 6 sc into the ring
Pull tight, sl st to first st, ch 1 (6)
Round 2:
Increase in every stitch around (2 sc in each stitch)

(1 sc, increase) repeat around
Sl st, ch 1 (18)
Round 4:
(1 sc, increase, 2 sc, increase) repeat around, finish with 1 sc

Round 5–6:
Sc in each st around

Round 7 (Cheek shaping):
6 sc, 2 increase, 8 sc, 2 increase, 6 sc

Tip: For softer cheeks, you can space increases like: inc, 1 sc, inc, 1 sc.

Stuff firmly with fiber fill.
Round 12:
Decrease in every st around (6)
Sl st, fasten off, leave long tail.
Weave tail through front loops of remaining stitches and pull tight to close.
Cat Ears (Make 2)
Using 2.5 mm hook and body color
Round 1:
MR, 4 sc (4)
Round 2:
Increase in every stitch (8)
Round 3:
(1 sc, inc) repeat around (12)
Fasten off, leave long tail.
Fold slightly and sew to top of the head (starting from second row for natural shape).
Note: if you don't want a cap, make another ear using same pattern and sew it. so you will get a complete cat. you can this as a keychain.
Santa Hat (Winter Cap)
Using 2.5 mm hook and red yarn
Round 1:
MR, 6 sc (6)
Round 2–3:
Sc around (6)
Round 4:
Inc in every st (12)
Round 5:
Sc around (12)
Round 6:
(1 sc, inc) repeat around (18)
Round 7:
Sc around (18)
Round 8:
(2 sc, inc) repeat around (24)
Round 9–11:
Sc around (24)
Sl st, fasten off red yarn.
Hat Brim (White Yarn – Puff Stitch Edge)
Join white yarn.
Repeat around:
Ch 2
Yarn over, insert hook in same st, pull up loop
Yarn over, pull through 2 loops (repeat 4 times, keep loops on hook)
Yarn over, pull through all loops (puff stitch)
Ch 1, skip 2 sts, sl st in next st
Repeat around for fluffy brim.
Fasten off, leave long tail for sewing.
Pom Pom
Using 2 mm hook and white yarn
Round 1:
MR, 6 sc (6)
Round 2:
(1 sc, inc) repeat around (9)
Round 3:
Sc around (9)
Round 4:
(1 sc, decrease) repeat around (6)
Optional: Add tiny stuffing.
Sl st, fasten off, close opening and leave tails for attaching.
Sew pom pom to tip of the hat.
Assembly
Sew ears on top of the head (slightly folded inward).
Sew eyes on round 5 with about 2–3 stitches gap.
Sew small triangle nose one row below eyes using pink yarn.
Stitch mouth below the nose.
Sew whiskers in a small V shape using black thread.
Attach the Santa hat slightly slanted.
Leave a small gap, add a little fiber fill inside the hat, then close.
Optional: Add pink blush on ears and cheeks for a cute look.
